This blog was created so I could showcase my vast collection of Lawrence Welk albums. From vinyl to cassette to cd, I want to show everyone what hard work and determination can yield when searching for out of print material! This blog is meant solely to showcase my collection, and to preserve the images and information on the album covers themselves. Music downloads will not be offered here.

In the right setting, a fine antique becomes a beautifully modern accessory. So say the decorating experts. In the world of music, too, the old can be delightfully new. This, in fact, is the concept of The "New" Old Refrain.
Here is the music of such venerated masters as Fritz Kreisler, Victor Herbert, Dvorak, and many others of an era preeminently rich in musical treasure.
The setting...nothing less appropriate than the superb artistry of Dick Kesner, playing his priceless Stradivarius violin.
We need not reach back in the past to recall the melodies, they're still quite popular...The Old Refrain, I Love You Truly, Ah! Sweet Mystery of LIfe, and many others.
Mr. Kesner-best known for his long association, as first violinist, with the famous Lawrence Welk orchestra, veteran of the San Francisco and Chicago Symphonies, and the American Conservatory of Music - magnificently outdoes himself on The "New" Old Refrain.
THIS IS A HIGH-FIDELITY CORAL RECORD!
