Sentimental Journey
The Lennon Sisters are a harmonious blend of all that proves the American Dream can still come true.
In an age when niceness almost seems like a hindrance to success, The Lennon Sisters continue to enjoy a warm and growing popularity. Since their debut on the Lawrence Welk Show on Christmas Eve of 1955, The Lennons have literally grown up under the ever-scrutinizing eye of the televiewing public. And, despite the public's reputation for being fickle about their idols, they continue to demand the talents of these four beautiful young women.
The Lennons represent a freshness and vitality that captivates audiences wherever they perform. Their special quality is talent, projected with charm and warmth. The Lennon style is a combination of charm and open frankness, built-in happiness and ready wit. And just a touch of shyness. All of which has been captured in abundance in this special collection of 22 favorites.
This album truly is a "Sentimental Journey" across a remarkable career which has consistently defied the cynicism and crassness inevitably associated with "show biz".
So it is with genuine pleasure that we invite you to listen to some of the most beautiful music ever written, made even more beautiful by the natural joy and vitality with which The Lennon Sisters sing it.
